Johnny & Alysse Sonneland

Meet our lead pastors, Johnny and Alysse! Both were born and raised in the Spokane area, they were married in 2016, and are now parents to three wonderful children Anica, Declan, and Wesley. Their greatest passion is for people to be made whole through the life that only comes from Jesus, revealed through the presence of God.

Both have been in ministry, volunteer and vocationally, their entire lives and have been leading Zion since September of 2023.

Alysse loves to nurture and cultivate wholeness in everything around her. She loves to mentor, counsel, and preach in a way that brings health to relationships, and emotions.

She loves to spend lots of time with her three kiddos, going on family walks, playing and creating. Her hobbies include cooking and baking, dancing, working out, and enjoying time outside.

Johnny loves people and preaches with a passion to see Jesus revealed. He loves to help people understand more about the amazing life that only Jesus offers and loves every time he gets to see someone’s life transformed by the Presence and Word of God.

He loves playing golf, talking sports, leadership, communication, being with friends and family, and more than anything Jesus!
