“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”-Hebrews 12:1-3.We must endure, persevere and be prepared for the times we are living in. And not allow our daydreaming to entangle us. It’s foolish to to think that an unbelieving world is going to get better. The days we are living in are filled with tension and “wars and rumors of wars” as Jesus put it in Matthew 24 and are in the “beginning of birth pangs.”Jesus also said in Matthew 24:13, “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.” There is no easy way out! The road that leads to life is narrow and difficult and only few find it. Our salvation will come through our endurance. If we are not clothed with humility and put on the full armor of God we will be caught off guard and may experience pain that could have been avoided if we were ready and prepared.
But there is hope! GOD IS FAITHFUL!! We need not freak out and worry! Its important though that we are aware of the times we are living in but above that to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus! He is in us and is the HOPE OF GLORY!!
My friends, as the world is in turmoil, we who have our minds set on the Prince of Peace will be a beacon of hope and light to our family and friends and to the whole world. Our witness will simply be that WE ARE NOT AFRAID OF THE DARKNESS!!
There are many seeking hope for a better world but are unaware that without Jesus it’s a hopeless cause. Our response and reaction to the madness in the earth today will reveal where our eyes are fixed. So my friends, let us continue to fix our eyes on our Redeemer for soon and very soon we will be with Him! Amen!
Much Love and Blessings!!
