Take a moment and imagine that your favorite actors, musicians, authors, preachers, teacher or mentors called you out of a huge crowd at a major event or concert and said they wanted to come to your house and have dinner with you. At the dinner table you laugh and have conversation about world events and things that really mattered, not only to you, but issues that concerned them the most. Then they spoke to you concerning a task that would require you to sacrifice your time, money and even your life. They would also be with you along the way to encourage and strengthen you and give you the power and resources needed to successfully accomplish this task. They mention that they chose you out of the many because they saw in you a willingness to go. You count the cost and are willing to go and considered it a great honor and privilege, not only to do this for these people you look up to but to even lay down your life for, if need be.

My friends, in the same way Jesus chose us out of the world not only to spread the Good News but fellowship and have communion with Him. What a great honor and privilege to be considered worthy to carry the message of Jesus!

We must never forget that we were chosen and appointed by Him to bear much fruit and fruit that will last. (John 15:16). It was our choice to follow. We counted the cost. But ultimately it was Jesus who chose us and saw in us the  heart to accomplish what He set before us. Through His grace, He called us out of the kingdom darkness and into His, the marvelous light of His domain. Through His power we will endure until the end. He chose us to be a part of His redemptive plan for all creation. Wow! Amazing! Humbling and scary at the same time, knowing we have in our reach the Maker of heaven and earth and that He looked and saw us before the foundation of the world and said, “Clifford will serve me and  I have chosen Him, appointed Him and created him for such a time as this and I will show him my salvation!” Thank You, Father!!
I believe Jesus was excited to choose you! When He thought of you He had a great big smile and knew you would be perfect for the call. You my brothers and sisters are His delight. You are blessed! -Clifford E.

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear much fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.”– Jesus. (John 15:16,17).
